Urška Ok, I agreee with all of you, because this is one of more important social problems...

Decision 1:Topic: VIOLENCE AGAINST GYPSIES

Issue 2: Talking about research questions

Marjetka: OK, we all suggest, that our topis is VIOLENCE AGAINST GYPSIES. So we have to decided about our research questions. My research questions are (1., 4., 5.). Martina have questions (2., 3.) and Urška have questions (6., 7., 8.).

VIOLENCE AGAINST GYPSIES

__Definition of the problem:__

Gypsies are an ethnical group that lives mostly in European countries. They have always been discriminated, but in last days the problems with them in Slovenia have become very serious. One of the Gypsie families had to move from their one property, and they still don´t know where they would stay. At the moment they are temporarily settled in Postojna.

__10. RESEARCH QUESTIONS:__

4. What could the state do to prevent these conflicts?

5. What do problems with Gypsies in Ambrus mean for our state?

Item 1:

 

We have proposed good and different problems for the topic, so we have decided, that our topic will be Violence against Gypsies, because this topic is a burning issue in these last days. Still we have to decide our research question.

 

Item 2:

 

The distribution of tasks was not completed in this meeting.

 

Assignments:

All of members will find out what point of view will be convenient, than we will select one for our research question.

 

Item 3:

 

We discussed about the date of the next meeting. We decided, that our next meeting will be on Tuesday, 14 November.

Item 1:

 

All assignments from the previous meeting have been carried out. All members except Denis (he was absent) have chosen a lot of different burning issues within the topic.

 

 

Item 2:

 

We discussed about that burning issues, and select ten research questions.

Our research questions are:

 

1. Who are Gypsies?

2. What approach should be used to solve the conflicts between Slovene people and Gypsies?

3. What approach should be used to solve the conflicts between Gypsies?

4. What could the state do to prevent these conflicts

5. What do problems with Gypsies in Ambrus mean for our country?

6. How Slovene people in schools accepted Gypsy children?

7. What approach should be used to prevent violence on gypsy children?

8. What are problems with Gypsy children in primary school in Bršljin?

 

 

 

 

Item 3:

 

Assignments:

Till next meeting everyone will look for sources for research questions.

 

Martina will ask Mr. doc. dr. Matej Makarovič for more information for our topic, Urška and me (Marjetka) even will research about Gypsies and find more literature for the report.

 

We discussed about our next meeting.

The next meeting will be held on 17 November 2006 at 8 AM at FDV library.
